"Disintegration Doctrine" (Plazma Cannon).
Written, recorded by Anton Samael.

Released Jan 2026.

Even a 9-string can’t reach this territory.

While guitars keep stretching for lower notes, this track begins where they surrender.

Forged in the extreme doom tradition and wrapped in a cold, hostile sci-fi atmosphere, the sound is driven by two violently distorted bass guitars tuned to E1.
This isn’t about being low for novelty — it’s about weight, gravity, and total environmental pressure.

No pretending to be heavy.
No extended-range illusion.
Just abyssal frequencies and cosmic ruin.

2 BASSES. 0 GUITARS. BEYOND BRUTAL.

Use speakers capable of surviving deep space.

ABOUT

About Plazma Cannon

Plazma Cannon was conceived mid 2023 just before I moved to Toowoomba, with the idea of doing something different I had to take time to ponder what does ‘Different’ look like?

Two things I knew for sure was one: I wanted to push the limits as far as what I consider to be ‘Heavy’ or ‘Brutal’ and Two: I wanted to indulge in my love for Sci-Fi Horror Themes.

I got to work on logos and pictures trying to build the ‘Vibe’ for Plazma Cannon while I contemplated what My Musical approach will be…

To be real there is only so hard you can growl or scream, there's only so much gain in the distortions and anything past 16th notes is a just blur… I didn't want a mess I wanted brutal but different lol.

So long story short My Grand idea was to use two Bass Guitars in place of Guitars, I know at this point You're thinking Boooo! that has been done before lol but hear me out first!

Imaging this, no guitars just two distorted Dingwall Basses tuned to C3 then using an octave pedal to drop them down to C2 and instead of both basses chugging on the same notes I'm playing single notes on each bass but as a power chord spread over both basses which made to sound much clearer and tighter than you would expect from using two basses tuned so damn low.

This sounds interesting but how did it actually go? my first response was ‘Fuck Me’!…as frequencies get lower the vibration curve moves slower and when you use an instrument that can actually handle such frequencies the vibration it creates is insane, on a side note those using 9 or 10 string guitars to achieve the lows I have you beat on this one so come at me lol! Roar!

So the tuning is low?…big deal! what else can I do to make these bass guitars sound different? experiment with effects of course! I used delay (echo) coupled with wahwah in some parts and once again My initial response was ‘Fuck Me’! what a vicious snarly chattering sound, I honestly don't know how else to describe it haha but I was in love with the tone, the sounds and vibration. Look out venues, Plazma Cannon will shake your stage lose and destroy your P.A. If the audience doesn't end up having an orgasm they will most likely shit themselves.

But what about the drums and vocals? To be honest, I didn't know how to take a different approach with the drums because I've always dug deep to write beats that are solid and innovative. I'm a natural, when it comes to drumming, as I tap on everything, always playing beats in my head and innovating them.  Vocals, on the other hand, I felt it was time to be as dynamic as I can possibly be with my voice.

Well it all sounds great right! but what is it? Deathmetal? I think Deathmetal is a pretty broad genre but how do I explain what Plazma Cannon is in just a few words, My final take? ‘Extreme Doom Metal’.

I'm super keen to hear peoples thoughts on this project and as always Please Enjoy!.
